Mike Kersenbrock
Mike Kersenbrock left his home state of Hawaii to finish high school in North Carolina and to earn a BS degree in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University in 1973. Tektronix brought him to Oregon in 1977 as a design engineer in their Microprocessor Development Products division. After many years at Tektronix, Mike worked for several telecom companies (including Oresis, a startup) and now works as a hardware electronic engineer at Kentrox in Hillsboro, OR.
Mike has been taking photographs since he was seven years old but didn't start using 3D photography until circa 1980 when he purchased a new Pentax stereo adapter. Soon after joining the CSC in 1994 he purchased a Realist 45 which started a long chain of different stereo cameras played with. He has continued to broaden his stereo horizons, now enjoying 2x2x2 stereo using an RBT X3b, and dabbling in both digital and medium format 3D. He also is starting to play with 3D video.
His interests, in addition to all aspects of stereoscopic photography, are gardening, reading, and cooking.
Mike and his wife Doina reside in Beaverton. He is a 3D Center for Art and Photography board member.
